Project activities concluded

At the end of April, EUCEMET project activities were concluded with much success. Not only has the project raised many interesting cooperations and knowledge exchange. We have gained much experience in implementing modern technologies, acquired hundreds of amazing photos from our cemeteries and our activities were covered in many European media.

Most inspiring fact though is that the project did not end. Activities and materials gained during project are being used and will develop in future.

Within this, we have agreed cooperation with mobile guiding app ARTOUR developers that they will continue development on their own ground while providing ASCE members and partners of EUCEMET project with further priviliged support and free routes.

Besides that, our photo exhibition will continue to be presented in different towns and cities across Europe. In fact, in addition to the Opening that took place in Maribor, Corsica, Nicosia & Avilés, the EUCEMET exhibition has been presented as well between March and April 2013 at Lugo’s Interactive Museum of History (MIHL). We are as well planning some events with these photos exposed this year in Week of Discovering European Cemeteries.

Project members wish to thank all the participants of the project. It was inspiring and great to work with you, exchange the knowledge and ideas. Looking forward to new projects and amazing moments in our cemeteries.

Please note that further news regarding project or particular parts of the project will be posted in ASCE website where most of the materials produced will be avaliable.

Developments on Augmented Reality Browser

Augmented Reality Browser part of the project was extremly interesting. It brought many developments and thoughts about how to provide guidance to cemetery visitors. Within ARTOUR application we have developed guides through 5 pilot cemeteries. These cemeteries are now listed as well in the ARTOUR website under Memorial park stories.
